The Function of Prophets and Messengers
2 Rabea’ El-Thani 1440H
The necessity of people to Allah, the Almighty, and their entire lack of His assistance in hardships and their need of Him for granting them elevation, sublimity and perfection as well as their need of Him to be fair and lenient and a guiding hand to them in addition to the necessity of organizing their instincts in an overall law, necessitated the emergence of someone amongst themselves who is qualified to achieve all that to people.

This could not have been achieved without the role that had been played by messengers, prophets and the heavenly messages, given that the state of perfection necessitates originally the existence of a developing "divine law" or a divine legislative deed to keep to people their normal march towards the desired perfection.
Since ascension to perfection is sometimes "unilateral" that is, on the level of the individual and at other times "unanimous" that is on the level of society, the latter demands enough periods of time to change a society because this change which I mean: the gradual change towards perfection and this should by necessity be listed in the category of judgments and for this reason Islam has been the last ring in the chain of religion and the last of stage of ranging in it and the ring which covers time and place completely counter to the other religions which are restricted to their temporal time only and perhaps the limited geographic horizon.
