Ali Bin Abi Talib… The First Muhammadian Replica… Self and Equal
14 Rabea’ El-Thani 1440H
The noble Prophet started the
preparation of the leaders of his program before his departure to
the other world since the starting point of his divine call for
Islam. That point, indeed, would not let
anyone have the least belief or doubt about the Prophet's
negligence in presenting the lively formation of his religion-as
religion and state-after him and thus, he blocked the way before
those who might claim in any way that he had left them in
bewilderment as to who would be guardian of the Islamic nation
after him!! And how he would leave his Muslim
society wallow in a constitutional and legislative vacuum!! Far be
it from him! That preparation indeed culminated
in recommending his trustee, his equal, his cousin and the husband
of his daughter Ali bin Abi Talib (P.B.U.T.) to be the legal
caliph after him; therefore, he availed no opportunity of any
occasion and situation without announcing to the public that Ali is
his inheritor in the matter of administration of the Muslims'
affairs after him and he joined that with the matter of having
completed the task of conveying his message to the people of the
world through the holy Quran as in the following
verse: "This day, I perfected your religion
for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam
as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger,
with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above-mentioned
meats), then surely, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most
Merciful."(Al-Maedah:3). declaring to people by that: Verily, Ali
bin Abi Talib is the spiritual guardian and the political and
organizational authority for Muslims after-him-meaning the
Prophet. Building on the foregoing Ali
(P.B.U.H.) has been the first Muhammadian leader in whom
"Prophet-hood" has been perfected by his "Imamate, "especially, if
we consider the fact that he has witnessed the process heavenly
commission from start to finish when he accompanied Allah's
Messenger alongside his prophetic biography or rather he witnessed
the casualties of isolation which targeted Islam in the depth which
is to be touched upon on a chapter themed "Al-Imamate".
