Features of Islamic Sovereignty in Al-Madina Al-Munawara
6 Rabea’ El-Thani 1440H
During the time when Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) has been playing his role as a heavenly leader in calling people to Islam, guiding and giving them instructions, this same role did not get to a standstill but it has found a vast area for development and growth and eventually transferring to another new stage inside Al-Madina Al-Munawara.

And here indeed, he started, after his settlement there, undertaking the political supremacy which has worn the robe of religious spirit and rather the spiritual spirit over the whole of Muslims particularly, through establishing his new civil society on this land which perfectly differs from the life style of the desert with regard to his political, social and military teachings at other times.
When circumstances stabilized to Allah's Messenger (P.B.U.H) after Al-Hudaibia truce which awarded a dynamic activity to the Prophetic move-considering that it could melt away the forthcoming axis of evil from the south where Ouraish people reside-till he started sending out his ambassadors to foreign capitals to expose to their people there the Prophetic call for Islam which is characterized with its human content, mora and virtuous dimensions and this was a kind of sovereignty to his government and his young State.
Despite the Prophetic call of Muhammad for Islam to the leaders of the States, kings, emperors and others as well as Arab chieftains of tribes outside the Arab Peninsula borders very similar to an introductory call for the Islamic religion but it contained a number of resolutions equal to what we call as: "covenants" and international treaties.
And the nicest of what they contain is that they are matching the civilized mode of the Islamic religion for they adhered to depending on the means of the Islamic call through sensible measures and logical proofs which are far away from employing
fanatical zeal and means of violence and this will be sought in the future for the spread of the Islamic religion.
Islam has imposed its supremacy over people and captured their hearts and minds through its literary eloquence and power of proofs which could easily make people appeal to it especially the most vulnerable class via its high moral values and sublime human standards especially those which perfectly tune with their human needs.

Employing "Transparency" with Others
Islamic religion aims at a social truth which is determined by the philosophy of creation and evolution; that is to say:
"Variation" is but the "origin" of any human and sociological gathering until this truth has entirely become inevitable, for it can impose itself on any purpose at which Islam aims targeting on the level of its jurisprudential and sociological legislations by putting into consideration man's origin, on display, in the matter of "co-existence" as "brother" or as "equal" in the theological and the sociological affiliation levels or at least "similarity" in creation.
Building on man's "likeness" to one another in creation for the purpose of "co-existence" according to the basis of piety, justice and other moral values… far away from any other affiliation.
Let us see what has come in the Islamic constitution: "Allah does not forbid you to deal and justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity." (Al-Mumtahanah:8).
Let us take another example from the holy Quran:
"Those among the children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of David and Isa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allah and his Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds."(Al-Maeda: 82).

"O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa (piety). Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, and Well-Aquainted" (with all things)(Al-Hujurat:13).
Relying upon all this, we can say that the holy Quran has established with the people of the Scripture good relationships in dealing with one another and all those who want to live with the Muslims especially in their first State in Al-Madina Al-Munawarah and contained the opposition groups providing them with protection and care and this can stand as another example which confirms the greatness of this religion.
