The Concept of Islam
2 Rabea’ El-Thani 1440H
Islam is a unifying religion through which all legislatures and messages are sealed and finalized. Literally, Islam denotes entire submission and resignation. Submission means: thorough obedience to Allah, His messengers and guardians and in a generalized sense:

"It denotes confession to all kinds of obedience whose judgment and performance are apparent; so, he who resolves to apparently perform all norms of obedience without the necessity of establishing them in the hearts, will nevertheless, deserve to bear the title of Islam in its full meaning necessitating meantime: apparent loyalty, acceptance of  testimony as a witness in courts, rights of inheritance, possession of what Muslims can possess of rights and establishing what Muslims have to establish of obligations and duties."
Islam, is that human feature which necessitates "granting security to that who takes refuge with it, feeling peaceful him who enters it and recognizes it.

"But what is more important than this is that it is a summary of what Allah has specified for His Creation and the last of what people have got of His legislations, for in His Name lies absolute relief and security to them and that no welfares can be felt and enjoyed without keeping their keys with Him nor black clouds of darkness can be dispersed except with lanterns with which the hearts get familiarized and brothers under their shade be fraternized.

In the view of the eternality of this legislation, it has been counted as the most fortified castle which could impede the enemies from breaking through it and which the Muslim was not taken as blamed or accused of what he had done before embracing it contrary to the case that if he did wrong or misbehaved after confirming his Islam, he would then be taken responsible for what he had done of guilt before Islam and after Islam.
Islam is not to be looked at as a muttering of the tongue nor a phenomenon of a limited behavior and even not a faith stemming from the heart or conscience only but it is deeper and more comprehensive and covering all of that and even more than that for what it contains of things done by man through the usage of his perceptive organs i.e. the five senses and those which fill up his entity legally and illegally.
Islam is even known as "perfect surrender" or resignation which goes synonymous with "total verification" and the latter is "certitude" and certitude is but "performance;" therefore, the believer of Islam has transferred with the spirituality of Islam towards its practical applications and this is the most hidden of its secrets durability and eternality for man's absolute humiliation to his Creator and his acceptance of what he receives or undertakes of orders is regarded as the core or "essence" of Islam which shows itself in other spectra of images which can be summed up in its behaviorism whereby we will touch upon when the subject returns to the chapter of  'Ethics in Islam'
Islam also aims at liberating man from all shackles of captivity except servitude to the One and Single Creator of the whole universe which we have proved to you under the title of:Islam…Why?
In terms of its ultimate existence, the inevitability of establishing its government and the full supremacy over our servitude to Him; therefore, He raised His immortal slogan: "There is no deity but Allah….' who made this sovereignty predominate the whole of the universe and rather fulfill and apply: Absolute Justice which, in essence, is the norm of this religion and the guide – line of its discipline through which the people's affairs are organized and transacted.
